Demographics

South Korea is one of the most densely populated countries in the world and their population grown dramatically yearly. Their population in 1950 was 19.2 million and it had 197 people per square km, while it increased up to 50.2 million in 2015 and it had 517 people per square km. 

 

However, their projections for 2020 that the population will increase up to 51.2 million and it will have 527 people per square km, but they also expect that in 2070 the population will decrease to 45.1 million and it will have 463 people per square km (South Korea Population 2015).
