Kim Hyun-Joong is on of the most popular South Korean entertainer, actor, singer and dancer the 29-year-old wants to raise his son by himself. He starts fighting for the legal custody when he got the proved that the idol is the father of the child, where they proved that through a DNA test, which it matched him as the father with 99.9999 percent certainty. In addition, on Feb. 26, both legal teams of Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend were argued in the courtroom on the issues of child custody and support. As well as, his lawyer mention that Kim Hyun Joong want to have the right by saying "if the opposing side (Ms. Choi) files for custody, then the defendant (Kim Hyun Joong) will do the same." This case didn't end yet where there will continue on April 8 on the judge following issued that they will check the legitimacy of the child-rearing expenses that the defendant is referring to, as well as, this issue is matter where the both sides can negotiate with each other (Fox, 2016).

 

I can link this story to course concept that I have studied, where this story has two of the course concept and they are: globalization and functions of the press. I link it to culture globalization, where it’s the transmission of ideas, meanings and values around the world in such a way as to extend and intensify social relations. And what distinguish this process is a common consumption of cultures that have been diffused by the Internet, popular culture media, and international travel. And when it comes to functions of the press it will link with entertamint concept, because this story is about a well-known South Korea celebrity.
